The client I'm working with has a 2-node Failover cluster.  Owing to their
environment, they have several machines accessing the many databases.  For
cost reasons, they went with SQL standard.
As to securing the traffic.  I understand that IPSec isn't supported for

We have several servers that have SQL Server and an application installed,
therefore they are not just dedicated to SQL.  Some of these applications
have services, other have exe's that are launched by users over the network.

I was trying to move the msdtc resource to the msdtc group and I have messed
up the cluster by taking too much offline in an attempt to move it. now I
don't have access to the cluster as the cluster ip, network name are
offline.

WE have a 2 node win 2k3 x64 cluster (also x86 clusters with same problem)
with 2 instanses of SQL 2005 x64 and the MSDTC resource  in the admin.
cluster group (quorum group).
This is a active/passive cluster, all 3 groups/vir. servers on same node.

Can anyone give me some tips on enabling encryption on an active/active
cluster?   the particulars as I understand them:
1.  Encryption is enabled on each node, and
2.  Each nodes encryption is based on a certificate from Certificate
