Is it a good ideas for sql server 2k to put 15-20 databases in one cluster
box. Create like 10 instances.
If something wrong we could just restrat the service for that instance.....
othewr dbs won't be affected.

The cluster need around 10 mins to complete failover process. i would like
to know it is normal case or whether healthy ? if not healthy, how to check

however we do not have a SAN (or shared disk storage). Oracle provide the

tell you can have only one (1) default instance in an Active/Active cluster.
The other instance has to be a named instance. Is this correct, or am I crazy?
If so, I don't undertand why this limitation. ...

Customer is running a SQL 2000 system single instance, this SQL 2000 is
installed on a cluster of 2 nodes but they are not clustering the SQL
instance, easier even they are running SQL 2000 on a cluster, SQL is not

ClusterAdmin, Quarum is the folder in C:\Drive, SAN is only shared drive, SQL
