I have taken SQL Server resources OFFLINE. Will the SQL Server resources be brought ONLINE automatically during failover or will it be in the OFFLINE state until brought ONLINE manually?

Ok my job is done. I have built a fully tested Windows and SQL active/passive cluster. Not the software guys take over but as an inquiring IT guy I can't call it done withoout some more education. Please feel free to answer these questions or send me to more information

A quick rant - After days of study, hours of install, and some killer directions for Brad M McGehee I began to install a SQL Cluster on a Windows 2003 enterprise server cluster. If only i had found that one little article that said that the install fails if you use two Cds.

I understand that Microsoft do not support SQL Server 2005 failover clusters where the cluster instances are also domain controllers. Can anyone tell me the reason for this? Is it to do with performance, resilience, or some other reason?
