July Security Update for SQL 2005 Cluster24 Jul 2008 23:13 GMT3
I am trying to apply the new security update for sql server 2005. I have a

cluster down and apply it one node at a time to both nodes?
Thanks in advance,
Resource won't fail over24 Jul 2008 15:28 GMT4
When I initiate a failover test on a cluster resource it will go offline and
then back online, but to the same node and not to the other node in the
cluster.  Can someone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot?
Thanks,

In other terms, is it a best practice to assigne the same name for the

In a two node cluster (active/active), I have installed two SQL Server 2005

Newbie in Clustering20 Jul 2008 03:51 GMT5
I have two servers. On the first server I want to put two dbs and on to the
second second server I want to put the third db.
The dbs on the first server will be queried from 600 users. The high
performance is an important goal, and the high data availability, also.

We are considering whether an SQL cluster (MSCS) may have any advantages
from transaction handling point of view. I mean mscs is a solution to correct
only hardware failures but it does not have any advantages on transactions
level. We are making a comparison between SQL log ...
