We have set up failover clustering for our production servers. but we are
facing a strange issue when the web application servers try to connect to
slqserver when its failed over.
We are experiencing connection time out. but once we restart our application

I am new to SQL clustering.  Does SQL 2008 clustering as far as functionality
remain the same as SQL 2005?   I am looking for any 'best practises for
setting up SQL clustering.

i want to install an application using SQL 2005 server in two different

In a SQL 2005 cluster it is only one drive which is on the EVA
storage. There are three drives on the EVA and all the drives are
visible in windows explorer. All the SQL components are on this node.
What else can be checked to ensure that all the drives are visible?

I have one of my cluster nodes going into a reboot loop and I have narrowed
it down to the NIC on the public side.
I troubleshot into safe mode and it booted up fine so I would suspect it is
a piece oof hardware with an issue or a corrupt driver. Did all of the

Hi Guys, I have an issue on an MS 2008 cluster build. It is FC connected to
the SAN and can see all 3 LUNs presented x8 for the SAN controller channels.
So in disk manager I can see 24 disks, of which I am using 3, the rest are
offline. I would like to remove the ghosted disk ...

I have a 2 node cluster with 2 instances of SQL 2000 SP4,  Node one failed
on the cluster and I had to reinstalled the OS.
I got the OS installed and the joined the existing cluster.  No problem

Our failover cluster setup is as follows:
-2 nodes, each: 4 QuadCore CPUs (total of 16 shown in Task Mgr), 64 GB RAM
-Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition, SP2
