Cannot see SQL Server 2005 from SQL Server 2k EM18 Apr 2007 16:04 GMT1
I am running SQL Server 2k version 8.00 on one pc (A) on a lan,
and SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition version 9.0 on another (B).
I can see the 2k server on A from Management Studio on B
but I can't see the 2005 server from Enterprise Manager on A.

I am running Windoes 2003 Small Business. When trying to connect to my

I just installed the VStudio 2005 & SQL Std 2005 software then immediately
Installed SQL2005 SP2..  Problem is that for whatever reason SSMS did not
install and now when I attempt to modify the SQL2005 setup I get a versioning

I just installed a fresh SQL Server 2005 MSDN  and tried to use the
management console, but all attempts to logon fail.
Message says 'failure may be caused by the fact that under the default

I have an issue with date. When I am trying to enter a date before 1900, the
SQL server stores it as after year 2070.
I am using Java as my front end and SQL Server 2000 as my backend. I am

I have an aspnet application which uses "dbcom.mdf" file located in App_Data
of the application. I can insert, delete etc , using stored procedure etc
... Everything works properly.
Now in order to centralise the database, i copied that .mdf file into

xp client, why can it not  connect server (sql server)? But it can see

i installed Sql server 2005 express edition on an windows xp professionel
sp2 system, which is alos the IIS server..
Of course i first installed .net Framework 2.0.
I installed it with an administrator account and used following options:
SQLAGENT Started and Stopped08 Apr 2007 00:48 GMT4
When i try to start the SQLAGENT on my SQL SERVER 2005 it notify me
that the
SQLAGENT Started and Stopped becuase he dont any work to do,
i tried to stop the sql server service and then start the agent.
