I friend of my forwarded me this issue and I couldn't find an answer:
He has a varchar(4000) column on a SQL 2005 table and is trying to read it
using SQL 2k5 JDBC. It turns out that column has only 256 characters on it on
the recordset.

I just set up an active/active SQL Server 2005 cluster running on Windows
Server 2008 without issue. My client is attempting to connect to both nodes
