In Microsoft Abalysis Manager one  can browse the cube data by right
clicking the cube  and  drag and drop columns to view data. Can the
same be achieved with reporting services.

I have de normalised tables in the source for use in a star
schema.However the grain of the facts that I may need are different

If you have two fact tables that share a dimension is it better to duplicate
the dimension by adding a copy of it to the warehouse or should you share
the single dimension between the fact tables?
