We have developed our own program and use SQL Express on one server and Full
SQL on another server.  One of our programmers is trying to figure out the
following:
When opening a SQL server database in VB 2005, is there a way to determine

i HAVE SQL MSDE personal edition install in one of the user pc for third

Can the user run the program with the administrator right ?

ich betreibe eine MSDE Datenbank, die DB-Größe liegt bei 2058.38 MB.
Das Datenbankmaximum ist weit höher eingestellt und genügend
Speicherplatz auf der Festplatte ist vorhanden.

As part of the installtion for my Blackberry Professional Software SQL 2005
Express was installed.  Unfortuantly during the install I was only able to
specify where the databases for the blackberry server were placed.  The rest
of the SQL 2005 Express databases were placed on C.  ...

I have installed SQL2005 Dev.Edition. But its showing the version 8.0 and it
is not the version 9.0. The problem is only SQL SERVER2000 queries are
working and not SQL2005.
May anyone help me out?

I have a system that is running MSDE 2000 and we run the following script to
back it up:
osql -Usa -P -n -Q "Backup Database MyDB To Disk =
MSDE over TCP/IP13 Dec 2007 17:26 GMT5
I've got a SQL Server Desktop Engine (version 8.00.2039 - SP4) installation
running our SharePoint site. I now need to connect to this database remotely
via TCP/IP, but can't get it to enable the protocol.
The log file always just says:
SQLExpress2005, Backups to File, and Maintenance Tools04 Dec 2007 18:59 GMT2
Greetings all,
I have a third-party app that used to use MSDE 2000.  In order to ensure we
were able to backup the data from this app, we would connect using Enterprise
Manager to configure the database to create a file backup every night into a
