I would like to know how to programmatically set the notification service
and what code I need to add to receive events in a win32 application when an
insert, update or delete occur

I'd like to use SQL 2005 Notification Services to notify my .Net
application about some events. In few words it will look like that:
- my application starts and subscribes to some events
- notification service notify my application about some events

We are using SQL Server Notifications Services 2.0 which comes with SQL
Server 2000.  We have upgraded to SQL Server 2005 but cannot yet use the
notifications services that come with 2005 yet because we cannot switch over
to the .NET 2.0 Framework.

Little confused about Notification Services because all the examples

OK - for testing I have the following setup....
The NS databases, distributor, generator, windows service, etc. is all
on my PC - we'll call it Instance1 - the machine can be called
