Using NS for Reminders question - Duplicate notifications20 Feb 2007 13:32 GMT1
My requirement is to allow users to subscribe to notifications when a
task has been created, and also to schedule reminders that the task is
still pending. I have the notification at time the task is created by
an event-triggered subscription, and that works fine. I then created a

I am going through Shyam Pather's book to get myself up and running on NS.
His source CD has a utility that loads scheduled subscriptions into the

remains there contantly. When I run profiler I notice that the NS

Way to increase Distributor timeout?07 Feb 2007 19:12 GMT3
We have built a custom content formatter which creates a report via
Reporting Services.
Unfortunately, for some subscribers, the report can take a minute or
more to generate.
Getting events upon DB changes (NOT SCHEDULED)06 Feb 2007 15:04 GMT4
i'm trying to set an Event Provider that will provide me with events
when a specific data changes in a specific table in the DB.
I've noticed that the built-in SQL Provider polls the DB using a
schedule and that doesn't help me.
How to send .NET events to applications06 Feb 2007 15:00 GMT3
I am new to NS, with some experience in using Files and email as the
main mechanism for notifying applications.
In my current scenario, I have a 2 tiered client-server system (.NET)

Added schedule and that stops notifications?05 Feb 2007 20:52 GMT4
I'm using the Sql 2005 NS book from Pather, and I got my notifications
working fine when they are delivered as the events arrive in digest
form.
I then, closely following the book, tried to add scheduled delivery,
