I am very much new to Notification Services. I have to perform a task like when ever there is some updations in one of my DB tables i have to get some Alerts like an email. Then i came accross this Notification services. But i dont know to acheive this functionality.

I have an event which may come into the Ns system. The event is a release of software. A new version can sometimes be released two or three times in a week. In that case, I only want to deliver the last event and discard the rest.
