the controllers for the database.

I would like to share with you a situation we have with one customer and ask
for opinion/advice.
The customer uses two servers where there are some custom made applications
that constantly access a SQL Server installed in another machine. We moved

Since some weeks we need to reindex it every day after saving the results to
get the comparisons report in a proper time.

service starts with the -E and sometimes the -T2301
can you explain what these parameters do?

maybe you allready have read my question on the datawarehouse newsgroup.
I have some performance issues with 1 of my client's server. (SQL 2000 ent.
edition on Win 2003 ent edition, 4 Xeon 3.0ghz, 4Gb; partition of 150Gb )
The problem appear to be at the disk level.
