Occasional error in synchronizing merge replication30 Apr 2008 17:37 GMT2
We have a setup where folks remotely synchronize their laptop for
replication. Couple of those folks can successfully synchronize replication.
However when they are in a hotel setting they fail to do so. During these
times they get the following  error:

I just wanted to give SQL Server replication a try.  I read few
articles at MSDN about replication, so I know vaguely what it does and
how it works.
I have SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and SQL Server 2000 in the

using sa id (mixed security) on both
went to 2005 created push replication from 2000 (you do not see it on 2005,
but you see it on 2000 - enterprise)

Immediate with Queued. We plan to take down the publisher for three hours for

We have a snapshot replication setup on SQL 2000 whihc has been
running fine for sometime.  Yesterday the infrastructure team
installed F-Secure antivirus on the server (Windows Server 2003 std)

I would like to publish data to other SQL servers, however I'd like to have
control over how the information is published.  I may not include all of the
fields, may change the name of the column, or perform a simple transformation
on a column.
