I have rebuiled a failed  SQl server 2005 on a different server ( restored
all system and userdatabases. After this everything is working OK (No error
in event viewer) with the exeption of my SQl accounts since no user is able
to login into there applications until I reset there ...

We have SQL 2005.
Say our SQL servers are in Domain 'ABC' and our clients are in Domain 'XYZ'
where the domains dont trust one another.
Theres more details but in short,I want to add Windows accounts i.e.

This is variant/continuation of a problem I've discussed on the

I thought it might benefit me to raise the issue here as well.

I am trying to make use of a proxy account.
I have a 2003 server with SQL 2005. My domain ID is on the server O/S in a
normal user group (not admin). I am an admin on the SQL Server. I have
created a proxy for a job I want to execute. The proxy is connected to my

We have a couple of vendor applications that create standard accounts.
These accounts have the same format as our domain accounts. For
example, my Windows account would be <domain>\<user_name>. The SQL
standard account would be <user_name>.

We are implementing profit 21 and rather than go in and give individuals
access to the databases I would rather use AD Security Groups...
Will the users be able to log on as them selves if I do this?

Hi. I'm hoping sometone can help me with a problem I'm having linking from
SQL Server 2000 or 2005 to Oracle. I've spent pretty much an entire day
trying to get a working Link but to no avail.
