SQL Server 2000.  I use Veritas BackupExec to backup files on my system.  I
just added an agent that allows backing up SQL databases.  My question is
independent of which backup saoftware one uses.  Here is my question:

SQL Server 2000.  I am new to SQL Server.  I have simply had some databases
that use it, but I have not had to do much with it.  However, I went into the
SQL Server Enterprise Manager and may have hosed myself.  Here is my

for CPU wondering which is better for the server:
1 - Dual Core Xeon 2.8Ghz /2mb cache each core   (1 physical cpu)
1 - Dual Processor - Xeon  3.8Ghz /2mb cache each (2 physical cpu's).

Sorry in advance if this seems like a stupid question
I was recently tasked with setting up Porject Server for my work. By
the time the order went through I was presented with SQL server 2005 EE
rather than 2000 EE which I had requested.

Hi - I'm brand new.  I downloaded SQL 2000 with my school agreement.  In
class the teacher mentioned that we should immediately download the patches
before we run it.  What patches should I install.  I downloaded the
Professional version off the MS website today.
