My company just purchased 2k5 then we found out that we actually needed 2k2
we are running 2k3 servers as well
anyway they (our vendor) shipped us the 2k2 sp2 and told us to install 2k5
then install 2k2 sp2 over it and it will work just fine..... anyone ever

We will employ SQL2005 database mirroring.  I've read the licensing FAQ,
but it doesn't say whether the mirror server needs a SQL license itself or
not.  Does database mirroring fall under the 'failover' licensing?
Does anyone know??

I have tried to install SQL Server 2005 developer on a machine using a domain
account for the SQL Server services.
I get a message saying "cannot validate service accounts" and installation
fails.

hi, i`m trying to find where microsoft say that in SQL 2000 is a best
practice to difference the database space  ( in a HDD) and the transactional

I have everything working but i just want to fine tune my installation.
I am installing msde at the moment with my application from the souce
media(means from cd or setup file). As my app is a small one and msde
