We have a dedicated server running SQL 2000 Standard SP4 on a Windows Server
2003 Standard w/ SP1 platform.
The box has 4GB of RAM and we wanted to know how to configure SQL to use

I'm trying to establish maintenance plans that will back up my system and
custom DBs to a file server.  I can go to
Start-->Run-->\\SecondaryServer\Data\BackupFolder.  However, when I try to
backup to this folder or create a maintenence plan pointed the log and db

We are having a problem that has been reported before where on the first
save of a maintenance plan, you get a message saying that saving to the
target server failed. Later you get messages like
A second save will yield a "create failed for job 'thejobname'"

I've had a white paper or checklist about moving sql2000 to a new physical
server  while keeping the current setup (IP,sever names etc.). Now that I
need it I can't find it. Can anyone point me to this or similar info?

I want to install a machine with windows 2003 std + sql server 2k or higher.

we just bought ACT! which runs only under SQL Server 2000 with SP3. But our
Server has already SP4. Is it possible to downgrade the Service Pack or do I
have to install the server from scratch???
