I have updated my SQL Server Evaluation Edition to Enterprise Edition a
couple of weeks ago. Service Pack 1 is also installed. Everything
seemed fine. But if I run an SSIS package now, I get a Warning:
0x80000036: only 2 days left for evaluation.

I have program based on the compatibility mode 80 , and in installation sql
2005 server sqlexpress or enterprise version  , the default is set to mode 90
, how to modify or  configure the setup to install the mode 80 ?

which seems to be a pretty good document.  The problem is it references SP3.
Should I follow this guide, and then install SP4?

I ran the SQL 2005 setup on my SQL 2000 server.
Now in Management Studio all the system and user databases are set to
compatibilty mode 80 and in the options there is no compatibilty mode 90
option. Why is this?

When i run sql server 2005 sp1 setup, during setup it authenticates
everything except  Database engine and reporting services. I m running
this setup with administrative previliges.....can

I made an attach of a database, but then got the error 9004: Error while
processing the log file.
Is there any chance of putting this database to work?

This is going to be a long one.  I know there have been several posts in the
Microsoft newsgroups and other blogs and newsgroups on the web, but I haven't
seen any yet that can answer the problem that a lot of people are having with
the 'Database Services' not getting upgraded.  ...

Because of License issues, I will be uninstalling SQL Server 2000 EE, and
installing SQL Svr 2000 SE (Win 2k Adv Svr).  There are two instances running
on my current configuration. I will include only one of the two instances on
the new install to SE.

i have just been given a server to set up sql server on. The server already
has windows installed joined to the domain but its name has a hypen within
it. Are they any valid reasons I could use apart from my preference,  to get
the server renamed.
