i use sql server express 2005.
By mistake, there are two identical records in a table (no primary key).
When i try to delete one or to change a field, i get the error:
"the row value updated or deleted do not make the row unique or they alter

installed now the MS SQL SP1. But this does not updated SQL Express.

I've installed it on W2003 R2 SP2 server
But after it finishes - i can't see Server Management Studio in the menu
(I've checked the MSSQL service is started OK etc.)
I just see SQL Server Config Manager

Is ther a way of adding a new user to database users with giving him
permissions to all SPs and UDF functions at once without going to each
specific procedure?

SQL 2005 Developer edition refusing to install on Vista26 May 2007 04:20 GMT2
I am trying to install 2005 developer on Vista. Every time I try I just get
"Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. Check your connections to
the network, or CD-ROM drive. For potential solutions to this problem, see
c:\Program Files\Microsoft\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP.CHM".

I have a database set to simple mode but the transaction log is constantly
growing . what can I do? I can not backup the log Because the DB is in
simple mode. I am I doing some thing wrong.?

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2005 service pack 2 on a brand new Dell
server. The installation is not working because the authentication
screen it says "your account information could not be verified" if I
click "Test" or Next.

I have recently installed (successfully) MS SQL Server 2005 and all seems to
work great when using the 'SQL Server Management Studio'.
I also need to access the databases I creat through SQLCMD but when using
the command I am faced with the following error message:

I'm using the latest version of SQLEXPR32.EXE found here :

I am not able to install std edition of sql 2005 on windows server  2003
machine. At setup progress, it hangs first at "Installing Local Groups" and
than "Setting File security". I checked the logs but nothing useful.
