I need to install SQLServer 2000 SP4 on Logshipping Standby server without dropping the logshipping setup. The source databases are publishers for transactional replication. How can i upgrade the standby server to SP4 with standby databases

I would like to do an inplace upgrade (same hardware) from W2K/SQL 2000 to W2K3/SQL2005. Can this be done successfully and if so can any one direct me to some documentation.

Is there a way to redistribute the data on the files AFTER you add files to a filegroup so that it is not lopsided. I know when you create it from scratch it distributes them evenly via round robin but how can I split the data evenly when it is not created from scratch.
