Can I install SQL Server 2005 Express and the Developer versions on the same PC, where they would be different named instances, or should I uninstall the Express version first. Should I put them on different partitions?

Hello. Is there a way in SQL Server 2005 Standard to forcibly limit a particular database in size? I would like to be able to set a max limit, and be alerted when the database gets close (say, 90%), just like an Exchange mailbox would.

I am working on a quote to upgrade our server to 64 bit standard edition with a quad core processor. Now they want to know about getting 2 quad cores, I know standard edition limits to 4 cpus and pricing is per chip. My question is: does the version work this way

I have the install discs for SQL 2005 Enterprise and I wanted to verify that they were the 64 bit. So I right click setup.exe on the disk and checked the "Version" tab. Mine says "NT AMD64"

I got this error when I installed SQL Server 2005 SP2 Client Components/Tools. Every other part of SP2 installed without a problem. Searching in the MS KB did not return any result for this particular case (failure during installing performance counters).

Using SQL 2K5 SP2 on Server 2K3 Ent SP2. Originally had installed SQL DB on one volume of a 5-volume server, and, followed the KB articles to move the log files from that volume to a separate volume.
