I have been using SQL2005 on my local machine for some time without any problems. For some reason I get access denied when I go to the control panel services, SQLServer and try to stop the service. This may be related to my previous post, server error 18456, thanks!

Are there any guidelines available on how best to allocate RAM on a Win2008 Ent. x64 server with 64GB RAM and SQL 2005 Ent. x64? Specifically, is it best to leave it dynamic or to reserve some for the OS by limiting the maximum for SQL Server?
