I am trying to install SP2 on SQL Server 2005 instance. Everytime
installation fails with following error in the Log files generated during
Setup.

I have a server running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2, and SQL
Standard 2005 SP2.  The server has 8GB RAM.
Should I need to tune the memory (in boot.ini or elsewhere), or will the
default settings be OK.

folder in Program Files afterwards. Is it something SQL Server 2005 installs?
Does it need a separate license or a valid SQL Server 2005 license is enough?

I am running MS SQL Server 2005 on a virtualized instance of Windows
Server 2008.
The Windows Update says that SQL 2005 requires SP2. So I allowed it to
download and install. It said it installed successfully.
