I read that the physical Limitations of SQL Express 2008 edition are: 1 CPU,
1 GB Memory, 4 GB of user data per database.
Can I install this software on a webserver with 2CPU, 4GB Memory?
...assuming that the software will not use the full available capacity? Is

i succesfully installed SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition (that's what the
system says at the end of the installation) BUTI get 3 warnings about: Setup
detected ... non canonical discretionary access control list (DACL) ... on 3
folders
SQL 2005 WG fails install on Vista x64 SP1: Error 1402 OCW1127 Dec 2008 07:55 GMT1
OCW11 failed during the setup.  I uninstalled office web components 2003,
and tried to reinstall in, only to get the error "Error 1402. Setup cannot
open the registry key UNKNOWN\Components\......"
I am running under Administrator account.

i cannot install this. Have tried repeatedly, always fails. Get Code 2B08. Is
this install necessary and if so, how can I resolve problem?

Failed When Installing SQL Server 2005 on Windows 2003 R2 SP223 Dec 2008 12:23 GMT10
I can not install SQL 2005 , there were some error messages  when I looked in
summary.txt file. The error message are :

As recommended by Mark Han, I am opening a new post for this issue.  I am
trying to setup a linked server that works with both integrated logins and
sql logins and includes the information necessary to connect to a mirrored

We're experiencing the following problem:
After booting the server, the service SQL Server doesn't start. We get the
following errror on System Log. But if we wait some minuts and start the
service, it's loads Okay.

My desktop is running Windows XP Professional SP3 but the SQL2005 Developer
setup wasn't able to even copy files to install for SSMS, database services,
analysis services, SSIS, SSRS, etc., thus they all got a big red X.  Setup
was able to install books online, VSS writer, ...

I accidently removed this line in the startup parameters of SQL Server, now
it won't startup.

We created completly new forest and new domain-all machines Windows2008.
After that we tried to install SQL2008 on one of them.
During the installation, the SQL asked about username and password to run
services.

getting the follwing error message:
ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.WMIProviderException: A virtual directory
must first be created before performing this operation.
