Hi, I posted a week ago in another group but can't find it now.
Since mid Feb, I've been asked almost daily to install the service pack
upgrade for all Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition instances and
components to Service Pack 3 (SP3).

I am doing an SQL database backup in server management express. When I right
click on the database
i go to tasks > backup. when i try to add a backup destination I don't see my
complete C: drive directory.

I am new to sql server and have to do an install on a new server running
server 2008. My question is what roles/features need to be installed on the
2008 server as part of the install.

In profiler 2005 when I use a filter I can check the check box to say that
blank values should not return. How do I do in in profiler 2000 (the filter

I have approximately 20 databases on a SQL Server 2000 enterprise edition on
a windows 2003 server.
I would like to install SQL Server 2005 management studio on the same server
and keep my 20 SQL Server 2000 databases.  I will slowly upgrade the

We had out database crash.  We were lucky enough to have a recovery place
salvage the actual data.
For what ever reason...none of the index definitions or data got recovered.
We have an two month old backup that has all of the indexed.
